LACASC U14 Champions of the Coliseum Tier2 league!
Our humble U14 Tier2 team reached their goal becoming Champions of the U14T2 Coliseum League today Sun Mar 4th, with a well deserved win against the Coliseum Eagles, with a 3-1 final score. With an impressive stat of 12 Wins, 3 Loses and 1 Draw, our team enjoyed a season of great camaraderie and focus on playing the latin style of passing while keeping high pressure on the opponent and holding ball control. Great effort by all players and dedication of our coaches and families coming every Saturday morning, sometimes too early to even leave home with a decent breakfast, thank you for your commitment!

Our LACASC U15/16 “Foxes” are now fighting for the top place at ERSL!
Following our previous story here, these “Foxes” are now serious contenders for the 1st place in the Tier2 category at ERSL. With only 2 games left!
6 weeks ago we were still half way through the season, but now this team has demonstrated we didn’t get to the top 3 by just good luck or coincidence. With a solid 11 wins out of 16 games so far and also with the top scorer in our team (Justin SOSA., 19 goals) and 5 straight wins in the last 5 weeks, the “Foxes” are now tied in 2nd place with 33 points and only 2 points difference from the top team (Perth United, 35 points).
Tomorrow Thursday Sep 1st, we play at our Home Field (Rideau H.S on Saint Laurent Bvld) at 6pm against our “partner” team Surad (5th, 27 points), which we know pretty well. Simultaneously, Perth United (have lost last 2 games) plays Gloucester Hornets and Ottawa City Silver (2nd, 33 points) plays West Carleton (3rd, 31 points). So tomorrow is a pretty important game for our team, since a win could definitely put us at the lead if the other 2 teams don’t win their respective games!.
We invite you to come and cheer for our “Foxes” tomorrow!. It will mean a lot to these kids and coaches.
Go LACASC U15 “Foxes” Go! – Top 3 in the ERSL
And here is another great story to share about our U15/16 team representing LACASC at the ERSL. This team was just assembled this season, with only 4 players from the LACASC family and 8 players from the St-Anthony SC family, our 4 players knew each other from previous gigs, most recent one the Coliseum league past Fall/Winter, but the other 8 players from St-Anthony either barely knew each other or not at all, being this their first time playing together. You can imagine the size of the challenge for our coaches Javier and Wilson to work with this team, but things are turning over and after a rough start (we lost our first 3 games), we are now sitting in 3rd place (out of 10 teams) with flamboyant 18 points, only 5 from 1st place! This team reminds us of the “Foxes” Leicester City EPL Champions this year. A team formed from “unknowns” but with the heart and bravery of a gang of Lions. It is great to see how these boys are playing together, helping and supporting each other, never giving up and standing up for the challenge week after week, with a great winning attitude and above all growing friendship and camaraderie. Great job boys, we are proud of you and your coaches for an impressive effort so far. We invite all the LACASC family to show their support and coming to cheer them up in the next few weeks, still about 8-9 games to go. And why not, let’s give them a name…Go “Foxes” Go!!! Viva LACASC! Our U14 T2 on track to the top!
We’ve been getting greats news week after week about the performance of our U14 team playing at ERSL. Having started this season with not enough players and first time playing together for at least half of them, it was an obvious difficult challenge for our coaches Rafael, German and Estuardo. They gave away the first few games, but then things started to click after sharing practices and drills together and now they are a very compact and confident team, with a unique style and structure. The only team in this category with 2 female warriors (Isa and Amarilis) and a mix of 2002s and 2003s, now flying among the top 5 teams and escalating positions as they continue on the streak! Way to go LACAU14, Viva y Bravo!
Win last night vs Gloucester-Hornets (3-2)
